DOJ Gives Subpoena to Robredo Over Sedition Raps


Manila, Philippines – In relation with the Bikoy video “ang totoong narco list”, the Department of Justice request the presence of Vice President Leni Robredo together with other offenders due to criminal charges.

Robredo, in cooperation with other members of the opposition, has been accused of arranging a video as a part of the ouster plot averse to the President.



Other than that, Leni Robredo and the accused opposition are facing charges of sedition, estafa, harboring of criminals, ctber libel, and obstruction of justice that was based on the affidavit of Bikoy that came to be Peter Joemel Advincula, and is the hooded person on the video.



Department of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra already sent subpoenas to the accused on Friday. The initial investigation that will start on August 9, 2019 at 10am.
Guevarra also stated - “I assure everyone of utmost fairness in the resolution of this case. The evidence, or the lack of it, will speak for itself”.

On the statement of the Vice President, they call the proclamation a politically- motivated that aims to impeach the Vice President and for that, she is ready to face the accuser.
