Sandra Cam, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office board
member notify the PCO beneficiaries to have faith President Duterte’s decision
in ordering to seize all running game franchise from the said government agency.
On July 10, 2019, a report published in GMA - the Philippine
Charity Sweepstake Office reported that it did not give the P8 Billion of its
gross to the national government. Commission on Audit (COA) added that it is required by law
and a part prior to that, an audit report for PCSO stated that Small Town Lottery
operators has an obligation to pay P4 Billion to the charity.
Sandra Cam
stated – “Sa
totoo lang, ever since thousands of text messages from this public number that
I have, kasi ito ang binibigay kong numero sa mga may sakit at sa mga
empleyado, I assure them, I told them na we have to trust the wisdom of the
President".
"Huwag tayong mag-alala
dahil ang ating Pangulo ay nakahanda lagi sa pagtulong sa ating mga kababayan
na nangangailangan ng tulong. And I salute the President in his anti-corruption
advocacy this time," she also added”.
As President Duterte ordered to halt the operation of all of
its franchise due to corruption,
opinions and reactions of netizens scattered on social Medias. Duterte
stated in a video message on the Presidential Communications Operations Office
- “I have today ordered the closure, the stoppage of all gaming schemes of
whatever nature that got franchises to do so from PCSO. .The ground is massive
corruption,Hinto na!"
"Despite
of the President’s decision, Cam stated that she still supporting the President
on his order and she confess that she asked President Duterte to get involved in the
state of corruption on the agency."
Prior
to the PCSO’s STL, after she signed the Board Resolution 83, she discovered
that it is not right to do so for the reason that it is not their part to intervene.
"After I signed the Board Resolution 83, napag-alaman ko
na mali because it's not in our part. Ang PCSO ay hindi dapat mag-intervene
doon because it's an intra-corporate decision. So nag-pile up na sa akin 'yung
mga alam kong korapsiyon diyan sa loob." - Cam said.
She also added on her statement to revoke Board Resolution 83
- "Then
after that, May 16, right after the elections, I was in Masbate, pinatawag kami
sa special meeting so I have to be here para lang sabihin at katigan naman nung
dalawa kong kasama na walang ka-gatol-gatol na tinatanong ko kung meron nang
legal basis. Wala, wala namang MR ang kabilang panig, wala ring reversal 'yung
sa OGCC. So doon, nag-walk out ako kasi I'm sick and tired already. Kasi I know
for a fact na itong kasamahan ko ay hindi naman ganun ang magiging desisyon
kung walang natanggap”.
She also stated that there are
no deception regarding in Lotto raffle game. The only problem to them is the
Small Town Lottery Operation. To all the players, PCSO General Manager Royina
Garma, is advising them to keep their tickets and wait for further notice.
