Philippines – Tiniyak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga Pilipino na mayroong
pagaasa sa bagong simula sa gitna ng mga pagsubok.
"The
triumph of the risen Christ presents us all with hopeful assurance that, even
as we face adversities, there is always hope of better and new
beginnings," dagdag ni Pangulong Duterte.
"May
this occasion fill us with gladness and enable us to find solace and strength
in the narrative of the Resurrection," pahayag niya.
Bukod dito,
hinikayat din ng Pangulo ang publiko na mabuhay na may pasasalamat at
pagpapakumbaba, ang patuloy na paggawa ng kabutihan at ang pagbibigay ng tulong
sa mga pamilya, kaibigan, at ang mga nangangailangan.
Samantala,
sa isang magkahiwalay na pahayag, nanawagan naman sa publiko si Presidential
Spokeperson Salvador Panelo na manatiling positibo. Dagdag pa aniya, ang
hinaharap ay may kalakip na lunas mula sa COVID-19 pandemic.
"The
resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross not only is the fulfillment of the
promise of the Messiah that on the third day He will resurrect from his death
in the cross, which is the cornerstone of Christianity, but it symbolizes the
truism that after going through pain and suffering, there will be
healing...After a storm, a new day beckons, and that after this pandemic of a
disease, there is a new tomorrow that awaits us and the world," pahayag ni
Panelo.
Hinikayat
din ng Malacañang ang mga Pilipino na mahalin ang isa’t isa.
"This
is the most fitting time that we embrace and practice this teaching, that even
the non-Christians and the agnostics can relate. For it is only in loving one
another can we protect each other from this scourge of a disease," wika ni
Panelo.
