September 18, 2018 – Senator Antonio Trillianes told the media that he is ready to face the libel complaint filed by Paolo Duterte, son of President Rodrigo Duterte, and the presidential son-in-law Manases Carpio.
The Davao Prosecutor’s Office gives Trillianes ten (10) days to respond on the complaint. The root of the complaint was caused by Trillianes’ when he accused both Sebastian Duterte and Manases Carpio from corruption on LTFRB, Road Board, and DPWH.
On the report, Trillianes stated that – “It’s very very obvious na talagang naghahanap ng paraan to shake me down, to harass me. Pero haharapin po natin yan. Sa’kin kung kelangan puntahan para maayos yan, pupuntahan ko.”
English Translation – “it is very obvious that they are looking for procedures to shake me down, and to harass me. But I will face it. If it is needed to go to them, I will do it in order to fix everything.”
Last year on September 2017, Trillianes also accused Sebastian of involvement in corrupt activities in Bureau of Customs where President Duterte defends his son and calls Trillianes’ allegation “TRASH”. As a record, President Duterte also added that he will resign if Paolo is proven corrupt.
