Typhoon MANGKHUT Will Hit North Luzon Philippines On Wednesday



Weather UPDATE ( Philippines) - PAGASA is closely monitoring TWO weather disturbances this week that may bring rains in Luzon.

First, tropical depression “NENENG”, located 150km North, Northwest of Basco Batanes. Residents in Batanes should expect occasional rain and strong winds with its maximum speed of 55 kph, and gustiness of 65 kph. The movement of NENENG is West Northwest at the speed of 10kph. The province is still under storm signal number 1.  Scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Babuyan group of Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, The Cordilleras, and Cagayan Valley.

 Authorities warn residents to be aware and alert for possible landslide and flooding. NENENG is expected to exit the country on September 11.




Keep your heads straight as forecasters keeping an eye in this typhoon internationally named MANGKHUT located at 2,255 km east of Southern Luzon with max winds of 150kph and gustiness of 185kph. It will be named OMPONG as it enters PAR on Wednesday 8pm, and will exit on Saturday, September 15. This typhoon predicts to hit land somewhere in Cagayan Batanes area. Residence of Cagayan province, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, and Ilocos Norte should expect heavy rains and strong winds.
