MANILA,
Philippines – Hindi sumangayon sa pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang
grupong party-list ‘Bayan Muna’ na ang gobyerno ay kulang sa pondo na
kinakailangan upang matugonan ang mga pangangailangan sa gitna ng COVID-19
pandemic. Iginiit ng grupo na kailangan lang umano ng Pangulo na tingnan ang
2020 budget.
Ayon kay
Bayan Muna Leaders Rep. Carlos Zarate at chair Neri Colmenares, ang pagkaantala
ng social amelioration program ng gobyerno ay hindi dahil sa kakulangan sa
pondo, gayong ang RA No.11469 o ang Bayanihan to Heal as One Act ay nagbigay
kay Pangulong Duterte ng dagdag na kapangyarihan.
Dagdag pa ni Zarate at Colmenares, dahil umano ito sa hindi epektibo ang administrasyon ni
Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
“It is not
true that the reason for the confusion and the failure to give financial assistance
to people is because there are no funds.
He promised us that he will be able to get all the funds, if we give him
emergency powers through the Bayanihan Law. But until now, many are still left
without help from government,” pahayag ni Zarate nitong Martes (April 7).
“There are
billions in the budget that are yet untapped which were actually contained in
his Report but President Duterte is very slow and inefficient in tapping these
funds,” dagdag pa ni Zarate.
Pahayag pa
ni Colmenares, naglalaro lang umano ang Pangulo sa publiko para magmukha itong
kaawa-awa.
“It is not
true that there are no funds to support the Php 270 Billion outlay for the
amelioration fund. Nagpapaawa lang sya kunyari para matabunan ang kapalpakan
nya,” paliwanag ni Colmenares.
“President
Duterte does not want to admit that his administration is slow in responding to
the crisis and has not been able to give
the necessary funds to the LGUs as well as the 18 Million families he promised
to help when he asked Congress to pass the Bayanihan Law,” dagdag pa ni
Colmenares.
